Phase II of the Palliative Care Unit Funding Campaign Begins

March 5, 2018 -- The Care Center was founded in 1973 by partnering with community members who felt strongly about providing quality care to our seniors in Solon. That tradition of community involvement continues to this day.

Plans are moving forward to add a Palliative Care Unit to the campus. This attached addition will include staffing and surroundings for compassionate and supportive end-of-life care. This family-centered environment will have four private rooms with space for each resident to be with their loved ones.

We have partnered with the Solon Retirement Village Foundation, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, to accept all donations to fund the building and furnishings. There are naming opportunities for each of the areas of the building as well as recognition levels on our Giving Tree, which will be prominently placed at the center's entrance. The attached flyer describes the many ways in which the community may participate.

We look forward to answering questions or addressing more specific ways to participate at an informational meeting on Saturday, April 7th at 2 p.m. in the Assisted Living building.
